20 Books in 2020

In 2020 I continued my quest to read as many books as I could. My goal was to read 20 (duh 2020!). One benefit of COVID was and is still is the time I get to read in the mornings or after work. I prefer books from a breadth of topics to keep my mind engaged and entertained. My list contains light hearted chick lit novels to heavier psychology based books.

I am proud that I fulfilled this goal and will give myself a big pat on the back for doing so. Not only am I fabulous in my own regard, but I also inspired a colleague to start reading earlier in 2020 and she can continued this good habit. This makes me really happy.

Im still reading thanks to you. I bought the entire series of Confessions of a Shopaholic, there’s almost a dozen books. 😀 My hubby bought us this exercise bike and I ride it and read my book.  I also bought The Home Edit books and I’m reading those too.

Books open a whole new world to imagine and are a great way to relief stress and learn something new. The power of taking someone’s mind to a new world is truly amazing and a quality I whole-heartedly admire of writers.

Without further ado here are the books I read in 2020! Highlighted books are my favorites.

There isn’t a secret formula in how I picked these particular books. I usually get recommendations from friends & family, Reese’s Book Club – Hello Sunshine, Oprah’s Book Club, New York Times Best Seller list or lately the library’s reading program, which started during the pandemic.

If you’re looking for recommendations check out the sources above or my Imagination section in the blog where I’ve shared books I read in 2019 and have book reviews on several of my favorites. Once you become an avid reader you’ll hopefully move along in circles where books are discussed and get lots of recommendations.

Like my colleague I urge my readers to pick up a book. Start with a short book if you haven’t read in a while and let the pure fun of reading guide you. If you’re intimidated, find books on topics of your liking and I guarantee you’ll be engrossed in the story soon enough.

Read away my readers! Ready away!
