I love chai. If you know me well then you know how much I LOVE chai. I drink it twice a day — sometimes more. The best part about visiting India or any Indian persons house for that matter is being offered chai. If you don’t get offered one then it’s well within your birth right to ask for one. If they don’t make it then question their ethnicity.
Drinking chai is an experience. And what better way to enjoy an experience than to share it with delicious cream filled cookies. Or as Indians call them biscuits. Without further ado… let me introduce you to… Parle Hide & Seek Fab cookies. Or as I fondly call them Fab(ulous) cookies. This is not just a regular cookie. This is a delectable cookie sandwich, which has three layers. Layer 1: choco chip biscuit. Layer 2: cream- available in 4 yummy flavors —Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, or Orange. Layer 3: choco chip biscuit.
I understand that most people drink chai while its piping hot but I believe to truly have an experience you need to sip chai slowly. Why do you need to rush things in life? I’ve been known to drink the beverage for hours as I unwind from the work day or while I read a book weekend mornings.
So how can you also part take in this ritual of mine and feel all the fuzzy feelings that I do?
Here’s my formula for having a Fab(ulous) experience.
- Make a hot cup of chai (recipe to follow in a future post).
- Take a few sips to get the true flavor of the chai.
- Dunk half (only half) of a Fab(ulous) cookie and eat the dunked half before it crumbles. Be careful not to leave the cookie in the chai for too long as it will disintegrates leading to a fishing expedition for the crumbling cookie in the tea.
- Dunk second half of the cookie making sure not to burn your hands in the hot chai.
- Sip. Dunk. Repeat. But be careful because Fab cookies are addictive! Before you know it, you could finish the pack.
- If you’re chai gets cold, warm it up in the microwave as I do. There’s nothing worse than drinking a cold cup of tea.
Drinking chai is an experience that I truly believe is best enjoyed with Fab(ulous) cookies. And along with the cookies, you’re life will become more Fab(ulous)!
